Bangladesh: Islamists attacked Hindu minorities in Narail, One murdered

Attack on Hindu minorities continues in Bangladesh. Now, news of attack and murder is coming in from the Narail district.

As per reports, on the 16th of August, Islamists attacked the members of a Hindu family in Narail over a land dispute. Islamists attacked them with sharp weapons and stabbed them brutally. 

Raj Ballav Biswas(70) was a resident of Devbhog village under the Seikhhati Union of the Narail district of Bangladesh. Along with his sons, he had cultivated jute in a land. But, 16th of August, he got information from locals that Islamists from the adjacent village, are reaping jute from his land.

Hearing this, Raj Ballav Biswas and his sons rushed to the far land. They told Islamists not to reap the jute. But, they didn’t listen; instead, they attacked Raj Ballav Biswas and his sons with sharp weapons. Islamists Salam Seikh and Imran Seikh stabbed them brutally. They all were rushed to Narail Town Hospital for treatment. There Raj Ballav Biswas succumbed to injuries. 

Officer-in-charge of Narail Sadar Police Station Obaidur Rahman said, “Complaint has been filed from both sides. Additional police forces have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order. We are investigating.”
