Bangladesh: Islamists attack Kali temple in Chattragram, Murtis broken

Attack on Hindu temples never ceases in Muslim-majority Bangladesh. This time, Islamists allegedly attacked a Ma Kali temple in Hathazari of Chattragram district. 

As per received information, on the night of the 3rd of August, unknown miscreants allegedly attacked the Kali temple at Shikarpur Union under Hathazari Upazila of Chattragram district. The next morning, local Hindus found the Murtis of the temple broken. Several Murtis were broken and thrown at the floor. Also, the face of Ma Kali Pratima is desecrated. 

But, as usual, this Murti breaking news got no place in the mainstream media of Bangladesh. No media outlets, both print and digital, and no one covered this news. 

As per the latest update, no one arrested so far. Police are investigating the matter.
