Hindu Voice Team: In a major coordinated operation, Indian law enforcement agencies have arrested a total of 34 Bangladeshi nationals for allegedly entering the country illegally. According to official sources, six individuals were detained in Murshidabad district of West Bengal, while another 28 were apprehended in Delhi during separate police raids earlier this week.
The arrests came as part of an intensified crackdown against illegal cross-border infiltration and human trafficking networks operating between India and Bangladesh. Authorities revealed that most of the detainees had no valid travel documents or identification, raising serious concerns over how they crossed the international border undetected.
Preliminary investigations suggest that several of the arrested individuals might have been working in construction sites, small factories, and domestic jobs in different parts of Delhi and neighboring states. Police are also probing whether organized syndicates were involved in facilitating their illegal entry and settlement.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has reportedly strengthened vigilance along the Indo-Bangladesh border, particularly in the Murshidabad and Nadia sectors, which are known infiltration-prone zones.
Senior police officials stated that all detained individuals are currently being interrogated and will be handed over to the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) for further legal action and possible deportation.
This development has once again reignited public debate over border security, illegal migration, and its potential impact on national security and employment in India.
