Bangladesh: Muslim businessman raped a poor Hindu woman in Jhinaidah, complaint filed 

Now, a poor Hindu woman has been raped in klaiganj of Jhinaidah district of Bangladesh. A local Muslim businessman named Mashiur Rahman raped the woman and threatened her not to disclose anyone. The victim Hindu woman has already filed a complaint in Kaliganj Police Station. The accused is absconding. 

As per reports, the Hindu woman lives in the neighbourhood. The Hindu woman is very poor and she makes a living by working in odd jobs such as cleaning, sweeping in other’s houses. On Sunday, 3rd of September, local businessman Moshiur Rahman called the Hindu woman to his house for some works in the garden. There, he locked the woman in a room and repeatedly raped her. Also, he threatened her to not disclose about this and let her go. 

The woman came back to her home and told about the torture to her husband. Her husband took her to the Kaliganj Police Station. After filing a complaint, the Police took her to the Jhinaidah Sadar Hospital for treatment. She is now undergoing treatment there.

From the Hospital bed, the woman said, “He called to cut the grasses of his garden. After cutting the grass, when I was leaving, he forcefully took me to a room. Then, he raped me repeatedly. I want severe punishment for him.”

As per local sources, soon after filing the complaint, the accused Mashiur Rahman fled. The Police launched a manhunt to nab him. Till now, he is absconding.
