Persecution of Hindu minorities continues in Bangladesh. Ahead of general elections in the country, cases of persecution are rising in several parts of the nation.

Now, Islamists allegedly murdered a Hindu gold trader named Suman Saha in Chattagram. The deceased is a known businessman in Chattagram town.

As per the reports, Islamists of notorious Dulu gang members brutally murdered the Hindu businessman. The Police have already arrested three Islamists directly involved in the murder.

The arrested are identified as Mofijur Rahman Dulu(56), Muhammad Mamun(38) and Nur Hasan Ritu(28).

On the night of the 26th of November, Islamists allegedly held captive Suman in a room in Riyajuddin Market. There, a scuffle broke out between them regarding money. Suddenly, Islamists tied Suman and striped him. After that, Islamists beat Suman with Iron rods and sticks.

Somehow, this news reached to Suman’s family. They rushed to the market and found him lying on the ground, naked and in unconscious condition. He was immediately taken to the hospital. But the on-duty doctor announced that he was brought dead.

Later, Suman’s mother filed a complaint in Chattagram Kotowali Police Station. After this, the Police launched a hunt for the accused Islamists.

The Assistant Police Commissioner Muhammed Mustafijur Rahman said, “Both had business relations. The victim, Suman Saha, is in an illegal gold smuggling business with the accused persons. The victim himself went to the room. There, a scuffle broke out between them, and in a rage, they murdered Suman Saha. Already, the arrested persons have confessed their crime.”
