A five year old Hindu girl was raped at Taraganj under Rangpur district of Bangladesh. The girl is now undergoing treatment at Rangpur Medical college and Hospital. Accused Nur Islam(45) is absconding.
According to information, Nur Islam is the neighbour of the girl’s family. They live in a colony where govt provided houses to homeless persons. Victim’s father is a rickshaw puller in Rangpur town and her mother do odd jobs to earn livelihood.
On Saturday morning, girl’s parents were out of home for work and the minor girl was at home alone. Suddenly neighbours heard that the minor girl was crying. They rushed and found that the minor girl child is lying on floor, with bloods everywhere. They immediately recovered the girl and took her to local Hospital. But she was referred to Rangpur Medical college and Hospital as her condition was critical.
Later police was informed about the incident. Her father filed a complaint at Taraganj police station. SI of Taraganj police station Ajmal Hossain said, ‘We have a received a complaint and on the basis of that, we have started an investigation. But accused Nur Islam is absconding. We are trying our best to nab him”.
