25 Case: After the Lok Sabha election in 2024, Assam has witnessed terror from Islamic radicals

After the Lok Sabha election in 2024, Assam has witnessed terror from Islamic radicals. In the last four months, in different parts of Assam, incidents of rape, gang rape, Land grabbing, attacks on police, Love Jihad and so on. 

Here, we present 25 such incidents till to date.

(1) 03 May, 2024: Islamists abducted and gang-raped a minor Hindu girl in Tangabari village under Dudhnoi police station of Goalpara district. 

When locals and family members went to catch them, Islamists attacked them. The Brother of the girl, Dhananjay Khaklari, died. 

Accused, Dhan Ali Talukder and other Islamists were arrested. 

(2) 14 May, 2024: A gang of  Islamists led by Jaohar Khan attacked local Hindus in the Koyakuchhi area of Barpeta district. Many Hindus were injured. 

(3) 23 May, 2024: Islamists attacked Khelmati Police Station in Lakhimpur district. 

(4) 7 June, 2024: Muslims attacked a Hindu village in Fakiragram of Kokrajhar district. Local Hindus resisted the Islamic land mafia gang. So, Islamists attacked the Hindu village. 

(5) 22 June, 2024: A Hindu woman was gang-raped in Majbat. The police arrested Mushtaq Ahmed, Mohidul Islam, Hafizul Ali, Saddam Ali and Ehsan Ahmed. 

(6) 24 June, 2024: A minor girl from Janajatia community was abducted and raped in Dhekuajuli. The Police arrested Sahidul Islam. 

(7) 26 June, 2024: Islamists attacked a Hindu village in Golokganj. Islamists threatened the Hindu villagers to leave the village.

(8) 27 June, 2024: A minor Hindu girl was raped in Thelamora area of Shonitpur district. The Police arrested Anarul Khan. 

(9) 28 June, 2024: At night, a Muslim youth tried to enter the girls’ hostel of LAKD College in Dhekuajuli. 

(10) 29 June, 2024: Islamist Abul Kalam abducted a minor Hindu girl in the Vomolhati area of Baihata. Abul Kalam tried to rape her. Locals rescued her. 

(11) 29 June, 2024: Nais Ali trapped a Hindu girl in Love Jihad. Nais Ali concealed his identity and trapped the girl. He was arrested from the Hugrajuli area. 

(12) 30 June, 2024: Islamists attacked a Hindu crematorium ground in the Sarvog area under Bareta district. Islamists broke the gate of the Hindu crematorium ground. The attack was to grab the land of Hindu Crematorium Ground, alleged local Hindus. 

(13) 01 July, 2024: A woman was raped in Thelamora area of Dhekuajuli. The Police arrested Samsul Islam alias Babul Ali. 

(14) 06 July, 2024:  Islamist abducted and tried to rape a Janajatia girl in Rangapora of Shonitpur district. The Police arrested Dildar Hussain. 

(15) 13 July, 2024: A Muslim youth sexually tortured a 70-year-old woman in the Matiya area of Goalpara district. 

(16) 20 July, 2024: A minor Hindu girl was abducted from the Ramhari area of Mangaldoi. The Police arrested Sajel Ali. 

(17) 25 July, 2024: At night, a spray gang attacked Hindu houses in Dhing of Nagaon district. After the loot, a woman was also raped. The Police arrested several Islamists of the ‘Spray Gang’. 

(18) 28 July, 2024: A minor Hindu girl was the victim of sexual assault and molestation in Hajo. The Police arrested Ibrahim Ali. 

(19) 02 August, 2024: Muslim villagers attacked the police forces in the Borsola area of Dhekuajuli. The Police went to the village to arrest a criminal. Several police personnel were injured. 

(20) 14 August, 2024: A Hindu youth was abducted from the Azara area of Guwahati town. The police arrested Param Ali. 

(21) 17 August, 2024: Muslim villagers attacked Hindu villagers in the Dangarkuchhi area of Barpeta district. 

(22) 19 August, 2024: A Hindu girl of Assam University of Silchar was sexually assaulted. The police arrested Badruz Zaman Faruq. 

(23) 19 August, 2024: Islamists abducted a minor Hindu girl in the Bure Ghat area of Bihali. They tried to rape the girl. The Police arrested Julud Hussain, Suraj Ali and Abdul Hussain. 

(24) 22 August, 2024: A minor Hindu girl is abducted and gang-raped in Dhing of Nagaon district. The police arrested Tafazzul Hussain and Jonaidul Islam. 

(25) 23 August, 2024: In  Gatelong, Tezpur, Shahrukh Hossain and Miraj Ali attacked a girl and her friend. She was harassed and molested. Locals chased and caught Shahrukh Hossain. Miraj Ali is absconding.
