Hindu Voice Team: A disturbing trend continues to haunt minority communities in Bangladesh as reports of Hindu girls being abducted surface almost daily. The latest victim is Shipa Kar, daughter of Shushil Kar, from Rasulganj Bazar, Jagannathpur Upazila under Sunamganj district.

According to her family, Shipa, a second-year student at Patli Union Women’s College, left home on Saturday morning to attend classes but never reached the college. When she failed to return home by evening, her worried family contacted the college authorities, who confirmed that she had not attended classes that day.

The incident has sparked fear and outrage among locals. The family suspects that Shipa may have been abducted—possibly by a Muslim youth—reflecting what many human rights observers describe as a growing pattern of religiously motivated abductions and forced conversions targeting Hindu girls in Bangladesh.

Despite repeated appeals for protection, minority families across the country continue to live in fear. Community members are demanding immediate action from law enforcement to trace Shipa’s whereabouts and ensure justice.

Anyone with information is urged to contact her family immediately through the numbers circulating on social media and local posters.
