Bangladesh: Muslim teacher beats up Hindu woman teacher in Jhenaidah

Hindu minorities of Bangladesh are not safe. A Muslim teacher beat up a female teacher in a school in the Jhenaidah district of Bangladesh. 

The teacher, Pubali Mitra, belongs to the Hindu minority community. She is an assistant teacher at Alampur Dakshin Para Adarsha Primary School. 

The woman teacher alleged that Humayun Kabir, another assistant teacher of the school, used to abuse her verbally for many years. When she protested, the accused teacher threatened her to suspend from the school. 

On the 16th of March afternoon, Humayun Kabir used bad words towards her. When she protested, a scuffle broke out. Suddenly, Humayun Kabir attacked her. 

According to the reports, Humayun Kabir beat up her in front of the other teachers. 

Najmun Nahar, head of the institution, confirmed the incident. 

Meanwhile, a complaint has been filed in the Upazila Education Department. An official investigation is underway. The officer promised to take necessary action against the accused teacher.
