Kolkata: Minor girl raped for months and threatened, the Police arrested Bangladeshi citizen Sohel Rana

The Police arrested a Bangladeshi citizen from New Town for raping and threatening a minor girl for months. The arrested has been identified as Sohel Rana. The Police filed a case against the accused under POCSO Act and started the investigation. 

As per the information, the accused was a tenant at the minor girl’s house at Baligari locality. Her parents do different odd jobs for living. During the absence of her parents, Sohel Rana regularly assaulted the minor girl sexually. The assault went for months. The Bangladeshi citizen also threatened the minor girl not to tell anybody. 

Few days ago, the minor girl gathered courage and told about the sexual torture to her elder sister. Then, the girl with her parents and elder sister, went to the Techno City Police station and filed a complaint.

Based on the complaint, the Police arrested the accused Sohel Rana immediately. The Police filed a case against the accused Bangladeshi citizen under different provisions of IPC as well as under POCSO Act.
