Hindu Voice Team: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) Bangladesh has strongly condemned the recent wave of “false, fabricated, and hate-driven propaganda” being circulated through social media and certain press outlets against the organization. In an official statement issued from ISKCON’s national headquarters in Swamibag Ashram, Dhaka, the spiritual society expressed deep concern over what it termed as “malicious attempts” to misrepresent ISKCON Bangladesh and incite communal misunderstanding.

The statement, signed by Sriman Charu Chandra Dasa Brahmachari, General Secretary of ISKCON Bangladesh, clarified that ISKCON is an international, non-political, non-violent spiritual organization based on the teachings of Srila A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. It promotes devotion to Lord Krishna, peace, compassion, truthfulness, moral values, and interfaith harmony.

“Some individuals and groups are deliberately spreading baseless accusations and false narratives to malign ISKCON and the broader Hindu community,” the statement read. “Such attempts are not only misleading but also pose a threat to the country’s long-standing inter-religious harmony.”

ISKCON Bangladesh emphasized that it has always worked in accordance with the nation’s laws, constitution, and administration and has consistently stood for peaceful coexistence and moral upliftment. The statement further highlighted ISKCON’s extensive humanitarian work across Bangladesh, including education programs, food relief, moral training, and community welfare projects, regardless of caste, creed, or religion.

Calling for impartial investigation into the sources of disinformation, ISKCON urged the government, law enforcement agencies, and media outlets to take effective measures to stop the spread of hate content and to ensure communal stability.

“Our movement has always been dedicated to creating peace and spiritual well-being in society,” said Charu Chandra Dasa Brahmachari. “We appeal to all citizens to remain vigilant against divisive propaganda and to stand united for a Bangladesh of harmony, justice, and mutual respect.”

The statement concluded with ISKCON’s universal message of peace and love:

“Where there is truth, there is light; where there is light, there is peace.”

ISKCON Bangladesh reaffirmed its commitment to promoting education, morality, nonviolence, and mutual respect—urging people of all faiths to work together for a peaceful and spiritually enriched nation.
