Persecution of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh is continuing. This time a Hindu leader, who is well known for his fight for rights of minorities, is stabbed by Islamic radicals.
Anadi Ranjan Saha(70) is a resident of Parshuram area of Feni district. On 2nd February night, he was beaten and stabbed in front of Parshuram municipal building. He was rushed to Parshuram Upozila Health Complex and later transferred to Feni Town Hospital. He is undergoing treatment there.
On the basis of the complaint, Police identified and arrested seven islamic radicals. Officer-in-charge of Md. Saiful Islam said, ‘We have arrested Hafijur Rehman Masud, Rafikul Islam, Ibrahim, Yakub Prakash Bhuttu, Mijanur Rahman Chowdhury, Jahidul Islam Babu and Abdul Mannan.”
As per sources, all the arrested persons are active workers of ruling party Awami League.
Anadi Ranjan Saha is the Vice President of Upozila Hindu Buddhist Christian Oikya Parishad(HBCOP). HBCP is a organization which is fighting for long for the rights of different minority communities of Bangladesh.
