Durga Murti breaking continues in islamic Bangladesh. After Durga Murti vandalism in Faridpur, Gopalganj and Narail, now news of vandalism of Durga Murti has been coming from Jhinaidah district of Bangladesh.
As per the reports, ahead of Puja, Murtis were being made in the temple at Porahati village under Porahati Union of Jhenaidah Sadar Police Station of Jhenaidah district. Yesterday night, after work, the potter left the temple.
Locals said, “Some Hindu youths were there in the temple to guard the Murti. We were cautious as incidents of Murti braking were happening in different districts of the country. But, around 11 PM at night, youths went to their home for dinner. Due to heavy rain, they returned to the temple around 1 AM. They saw that the Murtis were vandalised.”
All the under-construction Murtis in the temple are vandalised. Heads of the Murtis are cut. As the news spread, local Hindus were terrified. Meanwhile, after receiving the news from locals, the Police came to the spot. They promised a proper investigation and arrest of the accused.
This year, Durga Murti breaking is not new in Bangladesh. This is the fourth incident. Before this, Durga Murti has been vandalised in Faridpur, Gopalganj and Narail.
