A case of cow theft has been reported from Cachar district of Assam. But this time locals caught two cow theives as two others managed to flee. Angry over frequent theft, locals beaten the thieves severely. Later police rescued them from the clutches of angry mob and admitted them to hospital. But their condition is critical.
As per information, on the night of 12th of April, residents of Sindura Tea Garden of Katigorah caught two cow theives Hafijur Rahman and Sukkur Ali. They were beaten severely by angry locals.
After sometime police reached the spot and tried to recover them. But police intervention enraged the locals further. To recover the thives from angry locals, police did a mild lathicharge.
The two thieves were taken to the Kalain Health Centre for treatment. As their condition was critical, as per doctor’s advice, they were shifted to Silchar Medical college and Hospital. As of now, the two thieves are in critical condition and are undergoing treatment there.
