West Bengal: Minor Hindu girl went missing in Murshidabad; family alleges abduction

A fresh case of alleged abduction is coming from Murshidabad district of West Bengal. A minor Hindu girl has been allegedly abducted on her way back home from school. The incident occurred on the 17th of November.

As per the received information, the girl is only 16 years old. She studies at Sagarpara High School. The school comes under the jurisdiction area of Sagarpara Police Station.

According to her father, she didn’t return home from school that day. After searching everywhere, they couldn’t find her. So, he filed a written complaint at the Sagarpara Police Station. Based on the complaint, the Police started a case against unknown persons under sections 363/365 of IPC(FIR No- 352/23). 

But, the Police couldn’t locate or find the minor Hindu girl till today. 

Her father alleged, “A Muslim youth named Sayan Sheikh has kidnapped my daughter. The boy used to follow my daughter outside of the school. We gave the information to the Police. But, for unknown reasons, the Police are not active enough to find my daughter.”

Her father said that the accused Muslim boy, Sayan Sheikh(son of Sahidul Islam), is a resident of Ghoshpara village under Jalangi Police Station.
