Butchered and Burned: Businessman Suprabhat Modak Found Bloodied and Semi-Charred Behind His Own Home in Pabna

Local businessman Suprabhat Modak was found burned and bearing numerous deep injuries in a turmeric field behind his home in the Aminpur area of Sujanagar Upazila on the morning of 6th October.

Modak, reported to be in his mid-to-late 30s, ran the Dadabhai Hotel, a sweets and food business at Kashinathpur Bazar. According to police and family members, he had taken his wife to a doctor on the afternoon of October 5. After leaving her at home by van, he reportedly headed for his business. He never returned home.

When his mobile phone was found switched off and repeated searches by relatives produced no trace, the family alerted Aminpur Police Station. The following morning, local residents heading to their fields discovered the body and notified police.
