Bangladesh: Murtis of 3 Hindu temples broken, Police arrested Muhammad Russel

Consistent attacks on Hindu temples in Muslim dominated Bangladesh are not stopping. This time a islamic radical youth broken Murtis of 3 Hindu temples in Patuakhali district. Police arrested a Muslim youth named Muhammad Russel. 

As per local sources, on 30th May, Tuesday afternoon, in broad daylight Muhammad Russel attacked Hindu temples at Dakua village under Galachipa police station under Patuakhali district. Russel first attacked a Kali temple in that village. With a sword in his hand, he broke the Murti of Ma Kali and Ma Durga and ran away.

Later on that during 5PM, he attacked a Ma Manasa temple of the village. Family temple of Rabindra Narayan Nadi was  damaged by Russel. 

After receiving information from the villagers, a police team reached the village. Led by Officer-in-charge Shonit Kumar Gayen, police searched the whole village and arrested Muhammad Russel. 

As Hindu villagers are terrified in this incident, Govt officials reached the village and talked to them. Additional Superintendent of police Ahmed Mainul Hasan talked to the villagers and promised to provide security.
