Attack on the Hindu minorities of Bangladesh continues. This time, shocking news of the alleged gang-rape and murder of a woman Pujari of a temple has been coming from the Gopalganj district of Bangladesh.

The Pujari has been identified as Ashalata Biswas alias Hasi(70). She was the Pujari of the Vishwabandhu Sevashram Mandir. The Sevashram Mandir is situated in the Malipata village under the Durgapur Union of the Gopalganj district.

On the morning of the 3rd of March, when local devotees visited the temple, they found that the door of her room was broken. They saw that Ashalata had been lying on the floor.

A devotee said, “She was lying on the floor. Her hands and legs were tied. Cloth was stuffed in her mouth. There were drops of blood on the floor. It is clear that she faced brutal sexual torture before murder.”

Also, two donation boxes of the Sevashram Mandir were found broken.

A case has already been filed in the Police Station. An investigating officer said that other agencies are working on the case. Very soon, the perpetrators will be arrested.
