Hindu Voice Team: Three Muslim youths were reportedly detained by police following an incident at the famous Vashistha Temple in Guwahati, where they allegedly entered the temple dressed as Shiva devotees and were accused by fellow devotees of harassing Hindu girls.
According to claims regarding the incident, the youths’ behaviour inside the temple premises aroused suspicion among other devotees. When questioned about their identities, they allegedly claimed to be Hindus.
The devotees reportedly became more suspicious and subsequently informed the police. According to the same account, the youths allegedly acknowledged in the presence of police that they were Muslims.
The three were subsequently taken into custody by police, according to the sources.
