The news of a heinous crime has been coming from the Morigaon district of Assam where Islamists allegedly attacked and tortured a Hindu family. The members of the family were beaten and stabbed with sharp weapons. Based on the complaint, the Police arrested ten accused Islamists so far.
As per the received information, the Hindu family is a resident of the Garumara Doloni village under the jurisdiction of the Mayong Police Station of the Morigaon district of Assam. On the 10th of February, a scuffle broke out between a Hindu man and an Islamists. Within no time, a group of Islamists attacked the Hindu family.
Armed with sticks and sharp weapons, the Islamists beat up the members of the Hindu family. When they resisted, they were stabbed with sharp weapons. Islamists also allegedly dragged, molested and mishandled. The women were also beaten brutally. A total of five members of the Hindu family were injured in the attack.
Later, after receiving the complaint, the Police immediately launched an investigation and arrested 10 Islamists so far.
But, the anger still prevails in the area. Today, on the 12th of February, local Hindus organised a protest rally in Jhargaon and demanded strong punishment for the arrested persons.
