The mysterious death of 24-year-old Isha Sau, a Wipro employee from Baranagar, North 24 Parganas, has raised disturbing questions that demand urgent, impartial answers. Her family alleges that she was deceived by a man who allegedly concealed his Muslim identity by posing as a Hindu, and that a confrontation preceded her fatal fall from a five-storey building.
According to allegations reported by India Hood, Isha’s relationship became contentious after questions arose about the man’s religious identity. Her family further alleges that her mother was abused and assaulted when she objected to their entry into the house. The family claims that Isha was subsequently confronted and taken towards the rooftop, where an altercation reportedly occurred shortly before she fell.
Residents rushed to the scene after hearing a loud impact and found Isha critically injured. She was taken to Sagar Dutta Medical College and Hospital, where doctors had declared her dead on arrival. The circumstances surrounding her fall remain under investigation.
Police must thoroughly examine CCTV footage, phone records, forensic findings and witness statements, establish the sequence of events and hold anyone found responsible legally accountable. The allegations of religious deception, if substantiated, deserve serious scrutiny too.
One young woman has lost her life. The least society can demand is a credible investigation, the truth about her final moments, and justice for Isha Sau.
