City Corporation Worker Hridoy Kumar Harijan Stabbed to Death by Amin and Two Associates After Objecting to Amin Photographing His Wife Through a Window

35 year old Hridoy Kumar Harijan was a father of four children. His life was cut short in the KashtoGhar area of Srihatta’s Sweeper Colony at around 8 p.m. on 10th October. According to eyewitnesses and his family, he was killed after protesting against a man photographing his wife Pinky Rani without her consent.

The man, identified as Amin, had summoned 2 of his associates by phone after an argument. Hridoy was then stabbed to death at the scene.

Hridoy leaves behind two sons and two daughters, who must now face a future without their father. A sanitation worker employed by the City Corporation, Hridoy was the sole breadwinner of his family.
