Hindu Voice Team: A minor tribal girl in Assam’s Chirang district was allegedly gang-raped by three Islamists at a rented house, with the assault reportedly filmed and subsequently used to threaten the victim.

According to the complaint, the incident took place on July 24 at a rented house in Chatipur, where the three accused Islamists allegedly sexually assaulted the girl and recorded the incident on video.

The accused have been identified as Nasirul Sheikh (20), Pir Mohammad (25) and Harunul Hasan (19).

The victim allegedly told her family that Nasirul Sheikh had contacted her through social media while using a Hindu name and had gained her trust before the incident. The allegation is now part of the police investigation.

Following the alleged assault, the accused reportedly threatened the girl that the video would be made public if she disclosed the incident to anyone. The video was later allegedly circulated, according to the complaint.

The girl subsequently informed her parents, who approached the police and lodged a complaint. An FIR was registered, and the three accused were arrested on August 15, police said.
