The West Bengal Police arrested a Bangladeshi citizen with an Aadhaar Card in Coochbehar district. The arrested Bangladeshi citizen has been identified as Muhammad Liton.
Muhammad Liton is a resident of Khulna district of Bangladesh. He entered Bharat a few months ago with a valid Passport and Visa. On 7th of October, he was returning to Bangladesh through Chngrabandha International Checkpost of Coochbehar district.
While checking luggage, the immigration officials found an Aadhaar Card inside his bag. He was detained for questioning. During interrogation, the Bangladeshi citizen said that while he was staying in Falakata, he met an agent. The agent told him that he can make an Aadhaar Card for him. So, he paid the agent twenty five thousand rupees and got the Aadhaar card.
As his visa is going to expire, he is returning to Bangladesh. But why he made the Aadhaar Card, the Bangladeshi couldn’t give a satisfactory answer. Meanwhile, the Police arrested him.Later, immigration officials handed the Bangladeshi citizen to the Mekhliganj Police for further legal action and investigation.
