Islamist attacks never cease in Bangladesh. Now, a Hindu temple came under attack at Shobharampur in the Faridpur district of Bangladesh. The incident happened on the 7th of February evening around 5.30 PM.
As per the received information, an Islamist entered inside the temple complex as a visitor. He first started to use abusive language towards the devotees who came to the temple. Later, he took a stick from the garden and started running.
Eyewitnesses said he first broke the Murti of Maa Saraswati outside the main temple. Then he ran towards the main temple – Radha Govinda temple. By the time, some devotees chased the Islamist and caught him.
Then, some devotees took her to the garden and kept him tied to a tree.
In the meantime, the Police are informed. Later, the Islamist was handed over to the Police. The Police took statements from the eyewitnesses and took him to the Police Station.
A police officer of the Sobharampur Police Station said, “We have arrested the accused person. A case has been started against the accused under the relevant sections.”
