Rohingya Muslim infiltration from Bangladesh through unfenced borders of North-East Bharat continues. This time, vigilant BSF jawans detained three Rohingya Muslim infiltrators in Tripura.
On the 23rd of September, BSF jawans detained three Rohingya Muslim infiltrators from the Konabon Harihar Dola border area of the Kamalasagar Constituency. The site comes under the jurisdiction of Madhupur Police Station.
As per sources, all are girls and are minors. With the help of an agent, they managed to enter Bharat illegally, they said during primary interrogation.
Later, BSF handed them over to the Madhupur Police. The Police filed a case against the infiltrators under the relevant provisions of IPC.
As per locals, several areas of the Kamalasagar Constituency have become a heaven for infiltration and smuggling. Border areas such as Konabon, Harihar Dola, Motinagar, Fultali and Koiyadepa are the safe corridors for infiltration and smuggling, they said. Several agents also working in these areas, said locals. They demanded more patrolling by the BSF and the Police.
